Q: What kind of lubricant should be used on reels?
A: We are currently using an extended-life heavy marine grease made by Hot Rods Inc. Their product is well manufactured and ideal for this type of application. We have not had any problems with grease separation, and we've tested it under some high heat. I want Hot Rods grease any place where parts are moving and metal is touching, except on my drag surface.
